In sad circumstances today a La Trobe University student has died after falling to his death. For someone who studies at La Trobe this is quite confronting.

La Trobe student dies after stairwell fall

"A 20-Year-Old student at Victoria's La Trobe University has died after falling down a stairwell early today.
The Lakes Entrance man, who was living at a college residence at the university's Bundoora campus in Melbourne's north-east, was returning to his room on the second floor after being with friends on the floor above when he fell over a railing in the stairwell about 2.25am (AEDT).
Paramedics attended the scene to find the man dead.
He had hit concrete after falling about six to eight metres.
Police said there were no suspicious circumstances.
A report will be prepared for the coroner."
