 The vision of the Resistance Thinking project is to see God's values, ideas and purposes faithfully represented and defended in our society. We long to see a changed world: where people's lives are transformed and where the world is made more whole; where the structures and systems of our societies and the distribution of resources across the globe better reflect God's intentions for humanity; where the Christian faith is expressed in all its fullness so that the world may see that doing things God's way is the best for everyone!
To do this the Resistance Thinking project will work towards seeing a network of young Christian thinkers mobilised, a movement of faithful young people trained up ready to engage with the issues of our day and equipped to influence all facets of society. These thinkers will go on to become the leaders of tomorrow. They will stand for God's values in society and pioneer fresh and innovative projects in influential sectors of society: in business, the arts, the education system, in the media, in politics and also in their everyday lives, through their: families, workplaces, neighbours, leisure pursuits and communities.
The dream is to see God's kingdom extended here on this earth and how do we know what God's kingdom is and what it looks like? Romans 12:2 - 'do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed byu the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will.' Right action follows out from right thinking - a renewing of the mind - it all begins with thinking... |
