What are RSS Feeds?

An RSS feed is a file that contains frequently updated information specially formatted in a way that allows it to be subscribed to using a variety of programs called feed readers or aggregators. RSS (short for Really Simple Syndication) readers allow you to view the most recent information from a variety of sources without visiting all of the original web sites.

How do I use RSS feeds?

  1. Click on one of the above feeds
  2. If you want the feed to come to your Google or Yahoo etc. reader, simply click on the one you want and then follow their specific directions.
  3. If you are using the browser Mozilla Firefox and want the feed to display as a bookmark that will automatically update as more news is posted, then click on 'View Feed XML' and choose 'live bookmark', then 'Subscribe Now' and it will be added to your browser bookmarks
  4. If you have Microsoft Outlook or another mail program, then click on 'View Feed XML' and then choose this option at the top, and then click 'Subscribe Now' and you'll be automatically emailed.
